Sikhs the City and Success 2011
CANARY WHARF, LONDON: 17th AUGUST 2011 ? The City Sikhs Network (CSN), in partnership with Barclays Wealth, the UK’s largest wealth manager, last night welcomed 200+ delegates to an evening reception with an esteemed panel of leading Sikh corporate figures discussing perspectives on success,career pathways and their own inspiring personal and professional motivations at the event titled ?Sikhs, the City and Success?.
The collaboration was hosted by the European Diversity Team at Barclays Wealth in their Canary Wharf offices. The CSN is a non-profit organisation created to promote networking, career mentoring, personal development and community representation at local, regional and national levels.
The speakers included Richard Barnes, Deputy Mayor of London; Krish Ravel, CEO of Learn to Lead and Director of Faith in Leadership; Dr Surinder Hundal, Director at the UN backed Principles of Responsible Investment and Sukhi Wahiwala, CEO of Wahiwala Group of Companies. Following the talks there was a panel discussion lead by Jasvir Singh the CSN Legal director and in addition to the four speakers the panel was joined by Dr Japjeet Kaur, President of the European Network for Comparative Literary Studies.
The guests included City professionals and leading business figures who contributed to the debate, which explored:

The CSN is a non-profit organisation with a membership of around 800 City professionals. Its activities include organising educational, networking, cultural and charity events and initiatives each year, as well as running a mentoring scheme, promoting volunteering , providing a platform for consultation with governmental bodies and other non-government organisations. It was founded in October 2010.
